What we do

Our intelligence and investigation solutions empower organisations to make the world a safer place. Our software helps them connect the dots to find links and patterns to progress an investigation, to manage incidents or to manage risk. We see, every day, how everything is connected – and we know that goes far beyond the work we do.

Beyond our business purpose, we believe we are all connected. As individuals, teams, businesses, in our local communities and far beyond, we all have a contribution to make and a responsibility to our world. Here are our commitments and the actions we are taking to meet them.


  1. We commit to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum – and we track our emissions and offset to work towards our goals:
    • We’ve embraced the Net Zero challenge and have a carbon reduction plan.
  1. We drive carbon reduction in our every-day actions at work:
    • We recycle in our offices.
    • Our offices are being upgraded with energy efficient lighting.
    • We collaborate virtually, when possible, rather than travel.


  1. We actively encourage our team members to give back:
    • We work with local and national charities – and our chosen charity partner for 2022 is Embrace – Child Victims of Crime whose important work aligns with everything we stand for and believe in.
    • We partner with local universities.
    • We take part in fundraising activities, chosen by our team members.
  1. We live by our values to create processes and build partnerships that support diversity and inclusion:
    • Our processes ensure recruitment decisions are made solely on the suitability for the role.
    • We have signed the Mindful Employer charter and have trained mental health first aiders.
    • We are a pledge partner for Fortem Australia which supports first responders who are looking to transition into private sector roles.
  1. We closely track key metrics to make sure we quickly spot any issues:
    • Monthly tracking of health and safety incidents.
    • Employee turnover and attrition rates.
    • Annual eNPS survey.


  1. Security is at the heart of who we are:
    • We’ve been ISO 27001 certified for 5 years.
    • Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certified.
    • We run regular security and compliance training for all employees.
    • We continually monitor security incidents and report to the Board on a monthly basis.
    • Everyone who works at Altia is vetted to minimum NPPV 3 with SC standard.
